Refund Policy

Kool Design Maker is committed to customer satisfaction. Refund requests are subject to the conditions described below. When an eligible refund is approved, an administrative fee equal to 35 percent of the applicable order amount may be deducted from the refund.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds for orders paid electronically will generally be returned through the applicable payment method or payment processor when possible. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Refunds involving checks or money orders may be handled through an appropriate refund method determined by Kool Design Maker.

Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available

The refund policy may not apply under the following circumstances:

1. The customer purchased a special package, promotional package, or specially discounted service.
2. The customer approved the logo design or Kool Design Maker submitted two revised design options for the project.
3. Work began using a customer selected sample and two or more requested logo design changes were completed.
4. The business or organization for which the design was created closes, changes its name, or changes its primary line of business.
5. The project is canceled for reasons unrelated to the quality or performance of the design services provided by Kool Design Maker.
6. The customer does not communicate with Kool Design Maker for more than two months following submission of the logo design or applicable project work.
7. Another designer or design company is hired to work on the same design project at the same time.
8. The customer received a special promotional or discounted price through email or another direct offer.

Artwork Ownership and Legal Rights

Subject to payment and the applicable project terms, artwork created by Kool Design Maker for a customer is intended for use by the customer for whom the work was created.

Kool Design Maker does not file trademark applications on behalf of customers for logos created as part of standard design services. Customers are responsible for determining whether trademark registration, copyright registration, or other intellectual property protection is appropriate for their business.

If artwork created by Kool Design Maker unintentionally appears substantially similar to artwork belonging to another party, Kool Design Maker may provide a redraw session and a new set of design options according to the applicable project circumstances.

CMYK, Pantone and Printing Color Policy

Computer monitors and mobile devices generally display colors using RGB color. Commercial printing commonly uses CMYK, Pantone, or other production color systems. Because screens and printing equipment reproduce color differently, an exact match between a color viewed on a screen and the final printed product cannot always be guaranteed.

Kool Design Maker makes reasonable efforts to prepare print files using appropriate production color settings. However, variations may occur when RGB artwork is converted to CMYK or Pantone colors.

Printed colors may also vary depending on printing equipment, materials, paper stock, ink, calibration, coating, production method, and other manufacturing factors. Customers should carefully review and approve their artwork before printing.

When applicable, customers are responsible for confirming critical brand colors and providing appropriate Pantone or other color specifications before production.

Project Timelines

Project timelines are estimates and may vary depending on project complexity, customer response time, requested revisions, availability of required materials, programming requirements, printing specifications, and other project factors.

Logo Design Timeline

The general delivery time for initial logo design concepts is approximately 3 to 4 business days after Kool Design Maker receives the required order information and payment.

Standard revision requests are generally completed within approximately 1 to 2 business days.

More complex revisions, illustrations, or redraws may require approximately 4 to 5 business days or longer depending on the complexity of the requested work.

Revision and redraw timelines begin after Kool Design Maker receives all information and materials required to complete the requested changes.

Website Design and Development Timeline

Initial website design concepts may generally be submitted within approximately 3 to 4 business days after Kool Design Maker receives the order, payment, website content, images, project instructions, and other required materials.

Standard website revisions may generally require approximately 2 to 3 business days. Complex programming changes, redesigns, integrations, or other substantial modifications may require additional time.

Website development timelines vary depending on the size and complexity of the website, programming requirements, functionality, integrations, number of pages, availability of customer content, and the speed of customer feedback and approvals.

A relatively simple website may require approximately 10 to 15 business days for development once all necessary information and materials have been received. More complex websites may require additional development time.

Kool Design Maker may provide updated timeline estimates as the project progresses and its technical requirements become clearer.

Font Information

Kool Design Maker can provide the names of fonts used in a logo or design project when requested and when that information is available.

Kool Design Maker does not provide commercial or licensed font files. Customers may need to purchase or obtain the appropriate font license directly from the font owner, distributor, or authorized provider.

Customer Provided Images, Logos and Artwork

Customers may provide sketches, photographs, logos, JPEG files, reference images, scans, copies, or other materials for use in a design project.

By providing these materials and requesting that Kool Design Maker use, reproduce, redraw, trace, modify, or incorporate them into a project, the customer represents that the customer has the necessary rights or permission to use those materials.

Kool Design Maker cannot guarantee the originality or intellectual property status of materials supplied by a customer and is not responsible for copyright, trademark, licensing, or other intellectual property claims resulting directly from customer provided materials.

Kool Design Maker may require written authorization or a waiver before using certain customer provided images, logos, or artwork.

Design and Website Revisions

If Kool Design Maker makes an error in website design, programming, or other project work, correcting that error will not normally be treated as a customer requested revision.

The number of customer requested revisions included in a project depends on the package or service purchased. Additional revisions beyond the included amount may be subject to additional charges.

Stock Photography and Customer Images

Some website or design packages may include a limited number of stock images. Kool Design Maker may select appropriate stock photography to complement the design and may crop, resize, or otherwise prepare images for use within the project.

Customers may also provide their own photographs and images in an appropriate digital format. Customer provided images are not counted as stock photographs supplied by Kool Design Maker.

Content Management Systems

A Content Management System, commonly known as a CMS, can allow a customer to manage certain website content without extensive programming knowledge. Depending on the website and package purchased, CMS functionality may allow customers to update text, replace images, manage content, and perform other administrative tasks.

CMS features are available only when included in the selected website package or purchased as an additional service.

Ecommerce Website Services

Kool Design Maker can develop ecommerce websites and integrate supported third party payment solutions according to the purchased package and technical requirements of the project.

Customers are generally responsible for establishing and maintaining their own accounts with third party payment processors and for complying with the requirements, fees, policies, and terms established by those providers.

When integration requires account information, API credentials, authorization, or configuration information, the customer must provide the necessary access or cooperate with Kool Design Maker to complete the integration.

Domain Name and Web Hosting Services

Domain registration and web hosting requirements vary depending on the project and website technology. Customers should confirm the required hosting configuration with Kool Design Maker before purchasing a hosting service specifically for a new website project.

Where hosting or domain services are included in a Kool Design Maker package, the applicable package description, invoice, or written agreement will determine the services included and the applicable term.

Customers should avoid purchasing an incompatible hosting plan before the technical requirements of the website have been established.

Split Payment Policy

Kool Design Maker may allow payments to be divided into installments for qualifying projects with a total value greater than $1,000. Payment schedules must be agreed upon before or during the project and may depend on the scope of work and project requirements.

Data Backup and Loss of Data

Kool Design Maker takes reasonable precautions to protect project files, website information, servers, and other data under its control. However, no digital storage or hosting environment can be guaranteed against every possible technical failure, security incident, corruption, accidental deletion, or other form of data loss.

Customers are strongly encouraged to maintain their own copies and backups of important artwork, website files, databases, content, photographs, documents, credentials, and other business information.

Kool Design Maker is not responsible for losses resulting from customer failure to maintain appropriate backup copies, subject to any obligations that may otherwise apply under a specific written agreement.

Prices, Promotions and Services

Kool Design Maker may update website content, service descriptions, prices, technical specifications, packages, promotions, product offerings, and other information from time to time.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, website prices and promotional offers may be changed or discontinued without prior notice. Pricing confirmed on an accepted invoice or other written agreement will be governed by the terms applicable to that order.
